Hey everybody! Today, I want to share a recipe that has completely changed my mornings: Blueberry French Toast. I first learned this amazing recipe from Greg Doucette, and I can’t tell you how much it has made breakfast more fun and tasty! Now that I’m focused on eating healthy and making my meals taste even better, I don’t crave cheat meals nearly as much anymore. Eating healthy can be delicious too! 😊

Blueberry French Toast Recipe

Here’s what you need:

Ingredients:

  • 300g Kirkland Liquid Egg Whites
  • 4 Slices of Your Favorite Bread (I used Dempster’s whole wheat bread)
  • 5g Vanilla Extract
  • 3-4 Shakes of Cinnamon
  • 50-100g Kirkland Frozen Blueberries
  • 2-3 Packets of Splenda (or any sweetener you like)

Directions:

  1. Cook the Blueberries: Start by spraying a pan with some fat-free cooking spray. Add the blueberries to the pan and set the heat to low or medium. Let the berries soften up as they warm. This will make them super juicy and sweet!
  2. Mix the Egg Whites: In a bowl, mix together the egg whites, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Give it a good whisk until everything is mixed well. This is the secret to making the French toast taste delicious!
  3. Dip the Bread: Take each slice of bread and dip it into the egg white mixture. Make sure the bread soaks up a lot of the mixture so it gets nice and flavorful. Then, add the bread to the pan with the blueberries.
  4. Cook the Toast: Let everything cook for about 6-10 minutes. Flip the bread halfway through so both sides turn light brown and get a little crispy.
  5. Top It Off: Once the French toast is ready, add some Walden Farms calorie-free syrup on top. It makes it even sweeter without adding extra calories!
